Another Day Supporting Our Community

While on patrol yesterday, Ashby PCSOs came across a broken-down motorhome on Flagstaff Island.

We pulled in behind, put our lights on, and ensured everyone remained safe while traffic continued to flow around the roundabout.

It turned out the driver had only just bought the vehicle and wasn’t familiar with the area. On what we believe was his second lap of the roundabout in search of the services, the motorhome decided it had had quite enough adventure for one day and broke down just 100 yards from the slip road — not quite the maiden voyage he’d been hoping for!

After reaching number 24 in the queue for his insurance recovery service, the driver decided to take advantage of our exclusive 5-star roadside assistance package*.

Following a short wait, the vehicle was safely recovered and escorted the final few hundred yards to the services for repairs — quite possibly the shortest recovery journey of the day!
